YEREVAN. – The Office of Electronic Government Infrastructure Investment (OEGII) has been launched to provide electronic signatures in Armenia since June 2009. Currently over 6000 users have e-signature, the head of OEGII Armine Abelyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am. The increase of e-signatures is conditioned due to e-signature used in tax electronic system.
“Currently two e-services operate in the tax sphere: electronic accountings and electronic tax counting system. The customers present their information through these two services. One should have e-signature to work in the sphere,” Abelyan said.
According to her, increase of e-signatures is conditioned by the scale circulation of financial companies. The scale circulation of 100 million was installed in July, 2011.
A new increase is expected in 2012. As companies with circulation of 58 million will pass to submitting the accounts through e-signature, she added.
E-signatures are applied in internal circulation of documents in the government and treasury.
