The cost of bitcoin is falling by 6.98%, falling below the mark of $20,000 for the first time since 16 December, 2020, trading data show.
On the largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, Binance, bitcoin fell 6.98% to $19,487 thousand.
And according to the portal CoinMarketCap, which calculates the average price of more than 20 exchanges, the value of bitcoin fell by 6.50% - to 19.554 thousand dollars. Everywhere the dynamics are given for a day.
