The developers of WhatsApp have introduced an updated messenger for Android and iOS, which appeared the function of muting the sound of participants in group calls and other innovations, FoneArena reported.

Users can now mute other participants during group calls. This can be very useful when one of the interlocutors forgot to mute the microphone. The feature will be available to every participant of a group call and will not be limited to the call administrator.

Also, the participants of the group call will have the ability to send each other private messages. Along with this, WhatsApp has also added a special notification that will be shown to all participants of the group chat when a new user joins them.

WhatsApp developers have already started distributing the innovation to users of the messenger on Android and iOS.
