NEW DELHI. - Chess champion of Armenia Robert Hovhannisyan yielded first place of World Junior Chess Championship to Polish Dariusz Sverch on additional indicators. Both players got 10.5 points out of 13 possible.
In the last, 13th round Hovhannisyan ended his game in tie with Azerbaijani Vasif Durabeyli. Sverch defeated Belarus Vladislav Kovalyov. In 11th round Hovhannisyan and Sverch play ended in a draw.
The second representative of Armenia Samvel Ter-Sahakyan lost to Indian Sahay Grover in the 13th round and got 9th place with 8.5 points.
