The Council of Ministers of Economy and Finance of the European Union (Ecofin) has approved the latest documents required for Croatia's entry into the eurozone from January 1, 2023, according to the EU Council on Twitter.

Croatia will become the 20th EU member state to join the euro. Ecofin is adopting the final necessary legal acts today, the report says.

In mid-June, the Council of Finance Ministers of the Eurozone countries (Eurogroup) agreed on the possibility of Croatia's transition to the single European currency from 2023. Then the summit of the heads of state of the European Union, which includes all the countries of the eurozone, supported this.
