The administration of U.S. President Joe Biden said on Tuesday that it would sell another 20 million barrels of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve as part of a previously announced release of oil from storage aimed at calming oil prices.

In late March, the U.S. administration said it would release a record 1 million barrels of oil a day for six months from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, stored in a series of hollow salt caves on the coast of Louisiana and Texas, according to Reuters.
