The wing of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s delegation plane hit the runway while landing at the airport in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu, reports Associated Press. No one was hurt. According to the journalist on board, the incident caused frightened cries among the passengers.
Turkish Anadolu news agency says that the aircraft cannot make a return flight without repair works.
Erdogan was not onboard the plane – he and his family arrived in Mogadishu on a state jet aircraft.
Prime Minister of Turkey arrived in Somalia to visit humanitarian camps, as well as to attend the opening ceremony of Red Crescent hospital and camp.
