The price of copper on Wednesday is reduced, the markets are still concerned about the prospects around demand against the backdrop of the situation with the economy of its largest consumer - China, according to trading data.
The cost of September futures for copper on the Comex exchange fell by 0.26% to $3.675 per pound (about 0.45 kilograms).
At the end of Tuesday, at the London Metal Exchange (LME), the cost of a ton of copper with delivery in three months increased by 1.16%, to $8,120, aluminum - by 1.4%, to $2,424, zinc - fell by 0.36 %, up to 3,484.5 dollars per ton.
China's stock indexes fall by 1.4-2.4% on Wednesday. Markets are still worried about the outlook for the Chinese economy. Such concerns are caused by the latest economic data, as well as the ongoing policy of "zero tolerance" for the coronavirus in the country.
