The price of copper on Thursday is growing due to the depreciation of the dollar against world currencies, markets are waiting for statistics on the US economy and the speech of the head of the Federal Reserve in Jackson Hole, according to trading data.

September futures for copper on the Comex exchange trembled by 0.42%, to 3.6537 dollars per pound (about 0.45 kilograms).

At the London Metal Exchange (LME), following the results of previous trading, the cost of a ton of copper with delivery in three months decreased by 1.05%, to $8,034.5, aluminum - increased by 0.25%, to $2,430, zinc - rose by 0.83% to $3,513.5.
