The cost of gold on the first day of trading in autumn continues to decline in recent days, which is facilitated by the growth in the yield of US government bonds, follows from the trading data.
The price of December futures for gold on the New York Comex exchange falls by $12.5, or 0.72%, to $1,713.7 per troy ounce.
December silver futures are down 1.81% to $17.558 an ounce. Earlier in the session, the price of silver fell to $17.492, a low in more than two years.
