According to the loan agreement signed between the Republic of Armenia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Armenia is going to get a loan of EUR 26.5mln, Deputy Chairman of the RA State Revenue Committee Ashot Muradyan stated today at the sitting of the financial, credit and budgetary issues of the National Assembly during the discussion of the abovementioned agreement.

According to him, the fourth program of modernization of the state sector is planned to be implemented at the expense of credit funds. Thus, digitalization of services provided by some state bodies is planned to be implemented within the framework of this credit agreement. In particular, we are talking about the Ministry of Justice, the Police, the CGD, and local self-government bodies.

"Along with digitization for users of the aforementioned services, it is also planned to create appropriate mobile applications," Muradyan said.

Moreover, the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development will provide Armenia with a loan with a repayment term of 25 years, of which 14.5 will be preferential.

After a relatively short discussion, the legislative initiative was approved by the parliamentary commission.
