YEREVAN. - The office of Armenian Ombudsman gave a harsh response to the statement of the Ministry of Education and Science.

“Reflecting on the statement issued by Armenian Ministry of Science and Education we shall do our best to ignore the demagogy typical to the new generation of our leadership and empty qualification typical to certain Soviet era officials.

The Ministry of Education received an in-depth description of the registered offense, highlighting the circumstances and legal arguments of it. A summary of this notification was made public in order to raise awareness about the competition process, conflict of interests as well as illegal actions of the ministry.

Instead of showing concern over the case of human rights violation and demonstrating the ability to solve serious institutional problems, the Ministry tries to damage the reputation of the office of Ombudsman with low-brow evaluations and defensive attacks,’’ reads the statement of Armenian Ombudsman.
