YEREVAN. – With this makeup and potential, I can see the Armenian squad in EURO 2012, the Armenian national football team’s head coach Vardan Minasyan stated during the press conference held today at the Armenian Football Federation.

“We had generation change, our game stabilized, there is a core team, and we are having good results. But we will give the final analysis after the qualifiers. We have taken a huge step forward, and, factoring in the potential, we can say this team would accomplish even more,” Minasyan noted.               

Reflecting on the upcoming home game with Macedonia, the head coach said that at home the responsibility will be twofold for the Armenian team.  

And with respect to the recent away-match with Slovakia, where the Armenian national squad won 4-0, Vardan Minasyan said: “We had chosen the team and the tactic, but on that day our footballers showed their best qualities and we won thanks to it.”
