YEREVAN. – No attempt of self-immolation has been recorded at Armenia’s Attorney General Office, sources told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Gohar Chifrikyan announced to hold a hunger strike in front of the building at 10.00 a.m. The reason was the sentence for her son later released by the court. She had a poster and a bottle of flammable liquid.  Later at 10.30 she was received by the responsible official. She entered the Attorney General Office building leaving the poster and the flammable liquid before entering the building. No attempt of self-immolation was committed, General Office source insists.

Police spread information on self-immolation attempt on Thursday. She has been taken to police department but refused to give explanations. Investigation is underway.
