Armenia captured first gold medal at the European Junior & Under 23 Weightlifting Championships being held in Bucharest, Romania. In the 77-kg category, Aghasi Aghasyan lifted a total of 328 kilograms (148 kilograms, in Snatch, and 180 kilograms, in Clean & Jerk) and became Armenia’s first gold-medal winner at the tournament.
