In England a lottery winner was caught stealing sneakers, writes the Daily Star. Police said that the amount of damage from the man's actions is about £15,000.

David Swatman, 43, won £100,000 in the lottery in 2018. Being a devoted Liverpool fan, he promised that he would spend all the money to attend football games. All this time, the Briton continued to work in a shoe store, where he repeatedly stole new sneakers, which he sold online.

The company began to investigate when it noticed that the boxes in the warehouses were getting smaller and smaller. David was later arrested by police and brought in for questioning, where he confessed to the thefts. According to investigators, Swatman managed to steal 22 pairs of shoes.

The man was sentenced by the court to 20 months of probation. In addition, the court ordered him to attend rehabilitation courses and imposed 150 hours of community service.
