Led by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, National Assembly (NA) speaker Alen Simonyan, President Vahagn Khachaturyan, and members of the Security Council off Armenia visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Yerevan Monday morning on the anniversary of the Armenian pogrom that took place in Sumgait on February 27-29, 1988, to pay tribute to the casualties of this crime.

The NA informs Armenian News-NEWS.am that high-ranking officials laid wreaths and placed flowers to the cross-stones perpetuating the memory of Armenians who died in the pogroms organized by the Azerbaijani government in the cities of Sumgait, Kirovabad (Gandzak), and Baku.
