Another nationwide strike against the pension reforms of President Emmanuel Macron's government is taking place in France today, in which employees of almost all sectors of the country’s economy participate.

More than 270 demonstrations are expected will be held throughout France on this day, reports Euronews.

Due to these strikes, the operation of trains and public transport will be disrupted.

Capital Paris’ Charles de Gaulle, Orly, and Beauvais airports, as well as the airports of France's largest cities, will reduce the number of flights by 20-30 percent on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Some employees of the energy sector had announced the start of the protests last Friday when the employees of the French nuclear power plants went on strike. Since Monday, they have been joined by the workers of the natural gas sector.

General Secretary of the French General Confederation of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (CPME), Jean Eudes du Mesnil, announced on Monday that one day of this nationwide strike in France will cost the country $1.5 billion.
