A state of emergency was imposed in 26 Serbian cities due to heavy rains and 62 people were evacuated. Currently, the state of emergency is imposed in 26 cities and districts. “Last night and in the morning, the critical situation was in Krusevac, Jagodina, Kragujevac and Sombor, where due to heavy rainfall, water flooded yards and residential buildings," reads the report of the Ministry.

The Serbian Interior Ministry reported that the most critical situation is in the city of Cacak. More than 200 objects are flooded there because the rain sewer system is unable to cope with the rain.

According to the department, 762 firefighters-rescuers are involved in eliminating the consequences of heavy rains.
