In the conditions of the ongoing blockade of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) by Azerbaijan, the latter on Tuesday again blocked the transfer of Artsakh residents with serious health problems to Armenia by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), as well as the return of some Artsakh residents.

More than 186 medical patients in Artsakh are waiting for their transfer to specialized medical centers of Armenia to receive immediate medical care, the Artsakh Ministry of Health informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

A total of 33 children are currently receiving inpatient treatment at Arevik Medical Center in Artsakh, and four of them are at the neonatal and intensive care units.

And 102 patients are receiving inpatient treatment at the Republican Medical Center of Artsakh, five of them are at the intensive care unit, and two of these five are in critical condition.

The Artsakh Ministry of Health is taking all possible measures to resolve the situation—and by negotiating with the ICRC.
