A 7.2 magnitude earthquake hit the Alaska Peninsula region early Sunday morning, the US Geological Survey (USGS) said, leading to a tsunami advisory for nearby regions, which was later withdrawn, Reuters reports.
The magnitude was initially reported as 7.4, but later downgraded to 7.2.
