A private electric car will be used to transport pregnant women from their homes to hospital in Stepanakert, Nagorno Karabakh, as the humanitarian crisis is deteriorating there because of the blockade organized by Azerbaijan.
A citizen named Lusine Tonoyan telling about the initiative on Facebook, informed residents that the car will transport them for free and will be available as of August 1 to August 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.am.
She also provided mobile phone numbers (097132300, 097132399) to contact in case anyone needs the car.
“Let's help our compatriots overcome the cruelest obstacles created by the enemy in our own way at this fateful moment," wrote Lusine Tonyan.
Azerbaijan is holding Nagorno Karabakh in blockade for seven months now, which has resulted in humanitarian crisis. There is a severe shortage of food, fuel; public transport does not operate at all. Hospitals too are in short supply of medicine and fuel.
