Our fans are very important but we must not think about “Go, go, go!’ to score a goal”, said head coach of Ireland Geovani Trapattoni to a press conference in Dublin, reports Vesti.ru.

He added Ireland has to think always about not conceding a goal. In the past they tried to score a goal, failed to do it and conceded on the counter-attack.

Trapattoni said the match with Armenia is a test of maturity for the Irish team.

“We must do what we want to do, that’s maturity. For our team, for our players, this is a good test to show that with this maturity, we can achieve the result we want. All that matters is the result,” said Trapattoni. 

In its final Group B match in Euro 2012 qualifiers, Armenia’s national team will play an away game in Dublin, on Tuesday at 10:45 p.m., Yerevan time, against Ireland, our national team’s main opponent in the group.

The Armenian national squad needs nothing but a victory against Ireland to clinch 2nd place in Group B and go to playoffs to qualify for Euro 2012.
