China pays serious attention to the situation around the Lachin corridor. We express concern about the current situation and humanitarian consequences. Chinese ambassador to Armenia Fan Yong said this in response to Armenian News-NEWS.am's question on Thursday.

According to him, this matter should be resolved through dialogue and consultations, and in accordance with universally recognized international norms and laws.

"The only way to solve this issue is dialogue. Both sides should resolve the issue peacefully," the Chinese ambassador added.

He expressed hope that if the relevant parties are engaged in the matter, Armenia and Azerbaijan will be able to strengthen dialogue and communication, and they will persistently approach the matter of problem solving.

As per Fan, China supports any diplomatic efforts to achieve this goal.
