Chairman of the National Assembly of Artsakh David Ishkhanyan delivered a congratulatory message on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the independence of Artsakh Republic.

“Our country, declared as the Republic of Artsakh 32 years ago, has solidified itself as an Armenian state, respecting and upholding the principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, and relying on the understanding and support of the international community.

Over the course of 32 years, Artsakh endured two large-scale wars. We experienced the joy of victory, state institutions were formed, the country developed and prospered, but the enemy set itself the task of completely destroying the Republic of Artsakh in the war unleashed by him in 2020.

At this stage of the struggle for the statehood of Artsakh, the battlefield has expanded from our compatriots facing daily life difficulties to the warriors who stand guard on the frontlines. We stand because it is our common duty to prevent the blood and sweat of our fathers, sisters, brothers, and children from being shed in vain.

I congratulate us on the Day of the Republic and I wish you strength and energy, resilience, patience, a worthy and prosperous future,” David Ishkhanyan said.
