Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan of Armenia has no information about the relocation of the Armenian-American joint venture metal smelting plant being built in Yeraskh village of Armenia’s Ararat Province.

When asked by reporters to comment on the reports about the change of location of the aforesaid plant, the Grigoryan said: "I don’t have such information, and I can’t provide more detailed information about further developments. I believe that all the relevant bodies are dealing with this matter so that the investor has full comfort in carrying out economic activities in the Republic of Armenia."

The Armenian deputy PM assured that everything will be done so that the investment is not endangered.

Since June 13, the Azerbaijani side has been regularly shooting at the metal smelting plant under construction in Yeraskh. As a result of the shooting that took place on June 14, two Indians working at the facility were wounded.

Tiran Hakobyan, Director of GTB Holding which is building this plant, had said that the construction work of the plant was paralyzed. In case of any attempt to carry out construction, the workers on the construction site immediately become a direct target of the Azerbaijani armed forces.

And there are reports in the media that the metal smelting plant being built in Yeraskh may be moved to another place. This information, however, was dismissed by the director of GTB Holding.
