The Baku Grave Crimes Court in the Azerbaijani capital held a trial in the criminal case of Fidan Aliyeva, who is accused of high treason.

The defendant testified at the trial, Lent.az reports. She pleaded not guilty to the charges against her.

Aliyeva noted that she did not collaborate with the special services of Armenia.

"I met a Russian citizen on Telegram Messenger. My goal was only to get acquainted. I had no desire to inform him about Azerbaijan," she said.

The aforesaid court process will continue on September 25.

According to the indictment, Baku resident Fidan Aliyeva (born in 2002) met an employee of the Armenian special services on Telegram Messenger. She had been conveying information—sending photos and videos—about Azerbaijan to that person for a long time.

Aliyeva was detained.

According to some media, Fidan Aliyeva was a participant of the "environmental action" at the Lachin corridor.
