The Russian cargoes have not reached Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) through the city of Askeran. Davit Galstyan, head of the opposition Justice Faction of the Artsakh National Assembly, told Armenian News-NEWS.am about this.

Galstyan said that Azerbaijan creates obstacles for goods to reach Artsakh, and, according to him, Azerbaijan violates not only that, but also many other arrangements.

"According to Telegram channels, the cargo is now in Barda city [of Azerbaijan]. The fact that Azerbaijan obstructs the resolution of this crisis situation in every possible way indicates that Azerbaijan has not given up its genocidal actions and is taking all its steps in that direction," he said.

As per Galstyan, the current situation did not start with the closure of the Lachin corridor by Azerbaijan and does not end with Azerbaijan violating the arrangements on a regular basis.

"Regarding point 6 of the document of November 9, [2020] the negotiations shall proceed in the 3+1 format, where the Artsakh Republic will be represented as a stakeholder and try to settle the issues in that format. Leaving Artsakh alone in front of the Turkish-Azerbaijani tandem, the authorities of Armenia did not take practical steps," Galstyan said.

Referring to the criticism of the agreement given by the Artsakh authorities to open the Akna (Aghdam) road via Azerbaijan, Galstyan said: "If today the [Artsakh] authorities are able to make a decision and announce that they will bear responsibility for their decision, it is welcome. But to present it as the opening of the Aghdam road is a bit exaggerated, as I personally communicated with the people on duty in Askeran; and in general, any Azerbaijani cargo is not acceptable for the Armenian nation, whether it is by a Russian car or an Azerbaijani [one]."
