YEREVAN. – “Taron, you shall not disappoint us and all fellow city residents,” Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan stated during his remarks at Friday’s official swearing-in of capital Yerevan’s newly-elect Mayor, Taron Margaryan.  

The President also thanked former Mayor, Karen Karapetyan.

As per Sargsyan, “Taron Margaryan is not someone new in the organization of our capital’s being and in the area of local self-governance. Today he assumed a serious responsibility.”  

“Taron, you shall not disappoint us and all fellow city residents. We support you and are always ready to assist you. It is necessary to form a large team of supporters and solve the problems which Yerevan faces,” the President noted.
