The Turkish Parliament will ratify the Armenian-Turkish protocols in the latter half of this December or next January at the latest, Stepan Grigoryan, Head of the Globalization and Regional Cooperation Center, told a press conference.

In this context he expressed the opinion that Armenia must be the first to ratify the protocols, without linking its actions to the Turkish Parliament’s actions. Since Armenia initiated the normalization process, it must be the first to ratify the protocols, Grigoryan said. “Besides, if the ratification is delayed, Azerbaijan will have more time to pressure Turkey on Nagorno-Karabakh,” the expert said.
