Haifa, Israel and its suburbs in the north were heavily shelled by Lebanon, the Israeli portal Ynet reports.
But as a result of the work of the Israeli air defense system, only fragments of these missiles fell on a residential house in the Jerusalem area, and in the Kiryat Yam suburb of Haifa. Debris fell also in neighboring Kiryat Motzkin.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) informed that about 85 missiles were recorded from the territory of Lebanon during the first wave and 20 during the second. But most of these missiles were hit.
These missiles were launched after the IDF attacked Hezbollah facilities in Beirut's Dahiyeh district and some other areas of the Lebanese capital.
This shelling of the suburbs of Haifa, as reported by the Channel 12 television of Israel, was the strongest since the beginning of the war on October 7 last year.
