Turkey has severed relations with Israel and will not take any steps to develop them in the future, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told reporters.

"We, as a state and the government of the Republic of Turkey, have broken off relations with Israel. At the moment, we have no relations with Israel," the Turkish president said.

According to him, Turkey is leading "the fight against Israeli crimes."

Turkey has become the country that reacted the most sharply to "Israel's atrocities in the Gaza Strip," Erdogan added.

Turkey has launched specific steps, including the suspension of trade with Israel, noted the Turkish president.
