It is with deep sorrow that I learnt about the tragic passenger plane crash at Ahmedabad airport, Armenian foreign minister Ararat Mirzoyan wrote on X.

"I extend my sincere condolences to [Indian FM] Dr. S. Jaishankar & friendly people of India, & my wishes of strength to the families of all affected by this heartbreaking accident," Mirzoyan added.

An Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner crashed during takeoff from the airport in the western Indian city of Ahmedabad on Thursday. According to preliminary information, no one survived the crash, local police said, AP reports.

There were 242 people on board the plane: 230 passengers (169 Indian, 53 UK, 7 Portuguese citizens, and 1 Canadian national), 2 pilots, and 10 flight attendants.
