Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi described Israel’s attacks on Iranian territory as blatant violations of international law and stated that Iran expects the European Union to condemn Israel’s criminal strikes, Nour News reported.

On Friday, during a phone call with his Italian counterpart Antonio Tajani, Araghchi condemned the targeted strikes on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure and civilian areas.

He called the actions criminal aggression, stressing that Iran expects the European Union to take a firm stance in condemning the flagrant breach.

“The Iranian people and government expect an unequivocal condemnation from the international community, especially the European Union, of this horrific act,” Araghchi said.

For his part, Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani emphasized the importance of de-escalation and confirmed that he had contacted Israeli authorities to express strong disapproval of the offensive.
