The Iran–U.S. negotiations scheduled for this Sunday in Muscat will no longer take place, Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi announced on social media platform X.

“But diplomacy and dialogue remain the only path to lasting peace,” the Omani Foreign Minister added.

Previously, Iran and the U.S. had held five rounds of nuclear talks in Rome and Muscat, with both sides even reporting some progress.

However, following Israeli attacks on Iran and a series of harsh statements from U.S. President Donald Trump, Tehran declared further nuclear negotiations with the U.S. to be meaningless.
