Former Pentagon adviser does not rule out possibility of World War III

Former Pentagon adviser and retired U.S. Army Colonel Douglas MacGregor believes there is a high probability of World War III.

“War with Iran is likely to walk the United States directly into World War III. Let’s avoid that!” he wrote on social media platform X.
On the night of June 13, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched a large-scale operation called “Rising Lion,” during which the Israeli Air Force carried out strikes on military targets and facilities related to Iran’s nuclear program.

Israeli authorities stated that the operation aims to prevent a threat to the existence of the Jewish state, as Israeli military and intelligence sources claim Iran is nearing the “point of no return” in developing nuclear weapons.

In response, Iran launched its own operation, “True Promise III,” attacking Israeli territory with missiles.
