Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani, during a phone call with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, stated that his country has submitted a complaint to the UN Security Council over Israel’s violation of its airspace, Mehr reports.

“In this regard, legal, political, and diplomatic measures are being taken,” he noted.

Al-Sudani also expressed condolences over the deaths of senior Iranian military commanders and innocent civilians as a result of the Israeli strike.

“All resources of the Iraqi government are at the service of the friendly and brotherly country, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and wide-ranging measures are on the agenda to prevent a repetition of such acts of aggression. Control over our borders and airspace will also be exercised with greater seriousness,” he added.
