Turkey is developing plans to increase its stockpiles of medium- and long-range missiles, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said, according to local media.

“In a relatively short time, we will reach a level of defense capability where no one, absolutely no one will even dare to try threatening us,” he declared.

Erdoğan emphasized that Turkey has entered the phase of mass production of systems that genuinely strengthen its deterrence power.

“If you don’t have political, social, economic, and military strength, you don’t have deterrence. That means you’re vulnerable,” he added.
