The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) deliberately spread false information about Iran's nuclear program, giving Israel a pretext to attack Iran, the latter’s foreign ministry spokesperson, Esmail Baghaei, said, Al Arabiya reported on Thursday.

"(...) you obscured this truth in your absolutely biased report that was instrumentalize by E3/U.S [i.e. the UK, Germany, France and the United States] to craft a resolution with baseless allegation of 'non-compliance'" Baghaei stressed.

"The same resolution was then utilized, as a final pretext (...) to wage a war of aggression on Iran and to launch an unlawful attack on our peaceful nuclear facilities," he added.

And addressing IAEA director general Rafael Grossi, Baghaei warned that, “Misleading narratives have dire consequences (…), and demand accountability.”

“You’ve made IAEA a partner to this unjust war of aggression,” concluded the Iranian MFA spox.

On June 13, Israel attacked Iran, and this was followed by retaliatory measures by Iran. Military actions between the two countries are continuing to this day.
