More than 600 Chinese citizens have already been evacuated from Iran to Armenia under the organization and coordination of the Chinese Embassy in Armenia.

Among them are employees of Chinese companies, students, tourists, participants of exhibitions, as well as persons visiting Iran on temporary business visits. This was reported by the Chinese Embassy in Armenia.

The Embassy will continue to support the Chinese citizens by providing consultations through the consular hotline, as well as guiding Chinese enterprises operating in Armenia and the Chinese community to provide timely assistance to the compatriots.

The Embassy also expresses gratitude to the Armenian side for its support and assistance. 

The Chinese Embassy in Iran on June 17 urged Chinese citizens to leave the country. The diplomatic mission noted that there is a risk of closing Iran's land borders. The notification specified Armenia, Turkey and Turkmenistan as exit routes from Iran.
