Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made it clear that he does not rule out the possibility of striking Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, The Times of Israel reports.

Asked whether Khamenei is the walking dead, he responds: "I have instructed that no one is immune. I prefer not to engage in [making] headlines, but to act."

“In times of war,” Netanyahu says, "words must be chosen carefully and actions must be chosen precisely.

He adds that he expects this “from his ministers as well.” This is a veiled criticism of Israeli Defense Minister Katz, who has publicly threatened Khamenei.

“All options are open,” Netanyahu adds. “It is better not to talk about it in the press,” he emphasizes.

Netanyahu said U.S. involvement in the war is “President Trump's decision.”

“He will do what is good for America, and I will do what is good for Israel,” Netanyahu noted, adding that the US president “knows the rules of the game.”

He emphasized that Israel is capable of carrying out the entire mission on its own if necessary: “At the end of this operation, there will be no nuclear threat to Israel, and there will be no ballistic threat.”

Netanyahu says that “each of us is paying a personal price” in this war, “and it has not spared my family - my son canceled his wedding.”
