Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, a member of the Houthis' Political Bureau, said in an interview with Al Jazeera that “the US response is only a matter of time,” according to the Israeli outlet Ynet.

“We will respond to any aggression directed against us or any Islamic country. Arab and Islamic peoples must act because the US wants to change the entire Middle East,” al-Bukhaiti stated. “Iran did not ask us to intervene, and we will not wait for them to ask us to act.”

In his view, “American aggression against Iran represents a dangerous escalation and a direct threat to regional and international security and peace. We declare our support for Iran.”
