NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte reiterated before the opening of the alliance's summit in The Hague that Europe must support Ukraine and be mindful of the threat from Russia.
“[Russia] produce as much [weapons] as the whole of NATO in a year,” Rutte said again. - At the same time, their economy is 25 times smaller than the economies of NATO countries."
He declined to predict whether Ukraine and Russia could reach a peace agreement by the end of the year - the process “will take time.” In the meantime, NATO must ensure that in the meantime Ukraine has everything it needs to continue fighting, Rutte said, according to the BBC.
