Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a conversation with US President Donald Trump that Russia will pursue its goals in Ukraine, Russian leader's aide Yuri Ushakov said.
"Our president also said that Russia will pursue the set goals, that is, the elimination of the root causes known to everyone, which led to the current state of affairs, to the current acute confrontation. And Russia will not back down from these goals," Ushakov relayed Putin's words, RIA Novosti reported.
