Due to the arrival of a wave of warm tropical air from the south, high temperatures are expected in the Ararat Valley, the foothills of Vayots Dzor, the Syunik and Yerevan valleys from August 1 to 6. During the day, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., the air temperature will be +39...+41 degrees. In the next 5 days, a high fire hazard is expected in the above-mentioned areas, as well as in the foothills of Aragatsotn and Kotayk. This was reported by the State Hydrometeorological and Monitoring Center.
In Yerevan, no precipitation is expected during the day on August 2, 3-7. In the evening, wind gusts will reach 14-18 m/s.
In the regions, after noon on August 2, short-term rains and thunderstorms are expected in some areas, with possible hail. From August 3 to 7, no precipitation is expected. The wind will be westerly, 2-5 m/s, with gusts of up to 17-20 m/s during thunderstorms.
On August 2-7, in the evening hours in Armavir, Kotayk, and the foothills of Aragatsotn, the wind is expected to strengthen to 15-18 m/s. The air temperature will not change significantly.
