A total of 32 bodies were found in a search operation conducted between July 30 and August 2, the Mexican attorney general's office confirmed.

Police found these bodies in a mass grave in the central part of the country, in the town of La Calera, in the state of Guanajuato.

"The investigation carried out in La Calera resulted in the discovery of 32 human bodies, 15 of which have been identified," the Guanajuato state attorney general's office said in a statement on X.

According to local TVguanajuato, these human remains were found in a dismembered state, so their analysis required the use of specialized methods in genetics, anthropology, and forensic dentistry.
