Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan within the framework of the UN conference, informed the press service of the Georgian government.
During the meeting, the discussion touched upon the friendly relations and strategic partnership between Georgia and Armenia, successful cooperation in various domains, as well as ongoing processes in the region.
“The special importance of peace and stability in the South Caucasus was noted. The [Georgian] prime minister said that the joint statement of Armenia and Azerbaijan on the completion of the peace agreement negotiations is an important step forward. Irakli Kobakhidze once again confirmed the readiness of the Georgian government, to promote dialogue and thus ensure long-lasting peace and stability in the region,” added the press service of the Georgian government.
