Oil prices rose Wednesday morning, after hitting a five-week low on Tuesday.

Investors are awaiting US President Donald Trump's decision on sanctions against buyers of Russian oil, fearing that the introduction of new restrictive measures will negatively affect the stability of supply in the market.

October futures for Brent crude oil on the ICE Futures exchange in London are at $68.06 a barrel, up $0.42 (0.62%) from the previous trading day's close. On Tuesday, the price had fallen $1.12 (1.63%) to $67.64 a barrel.

September WTI crude futures on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) rose by $0.39 (0.6%) to $65.55 per barrel. In the previous trading session, the price had fallen by $1.13 (1.7%) to $65.16 per barrel.
