The South Korean military has completed removed the loudspeakers that were installed on the border with North Korea, and which were intended to broadcast propaganda messages towards the North, the military said, Yonhap reports.

According to them, all 20 loudspeakers had been removed by noon local time on Tuesday.

The South Korean military had begun this work on Monday. At that time, the Ministry of National Defense had stated that this was aimed at reducing tensions between Seoul and Pyongyang.

But the South has observed no activity that would indicate that the North also has removed such equipment.
