The Armenian police have provided new details about today’s major road accident involving contract servicemen.
According to official information, today at around 2:50pm, a Gaz 3129 and a Nissan collided on the bridge in Jrarat village of Armavir Province.
As a result, the driver of the Gaz and the minor passenger were taken to the Vagharshapat city medical center. The driver of the Nissan and three passengers were also taken to the same hospital.
The 22-year-old passenger of the Nissan, however, died on the way to the medical facility.
The compiled documents have been transferred to the territorial investigative agency.
Armenian News-NEWS.am had reported earlier that four of the persons who were injured in the road accident that occurred today on the Margara-Vanadzor motorway of Armenia are contract servicemen. One of them died in the hospital.
According to our information, they serve in a military unit in Armavir Province.
The accident had occurred under circumstances unrelated to military service—and in a civilian car.
